Studios are spread right across the city, so the most useful thing to tell us is your suburb and whether you would travel from home or from work.

Classes in the city's parks

The City of Melbourne requires a permit for anyone paid to instruct on public land, and its permit names yoga, tai chi and similar classes. Sessions can run from 6am to 8pm with up to 12 people, without amplified music, in approved parks including the Fitzroy, Flagstaff and Carlton Gardens, Kings Domain, Fawkner Park, Princes Park and Royal Park (City of Melbourne). Indoors, the council's Melbourne City Baths runs yoga among its group classes, open to teenagers from 14 with a parent or guardian (City of Melbourne).
